Monolith

Although heavy metal can be loud and aggressive, it can also be quite melodic and lyrically varied.

Some metal bands of this kind are gaining momentum – such is the case with Monolith. 

The four-piece Auckland band was formed in 2021, with the current lineup finally established in 2023. 

Monolith has carved out their own signature sound, combining influences of classic metal, hard rock, groove, thrash, and metalcore. Reviewers have noted that their fusion of various sub-genres within the heavy metal field is exceptional and innovative. 

Monolith is steadily gaining respect and followers on social media platforms and is playing regular shows with eclectic line-ups from the rock, metal, and hardcore scenes. 

The band has a passion for playing live shows and plans to tour nationally and release more music and music videos in the near future. Their first single, "Destiny Cult," was recorded with legendary rock and metal engineer/producer Dave Rhodes and is available to stream on all major platforms.
